| Howard Rowland Ph.D., has been an Arabic instuctor and course materials writer at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, he also worked as full-time free-lance Arabic-English translator. He has traveled widely in the Arab World and is proficient in several major Arabic dialects in addition to Modern Standard Arabic. | JO PAMMENT Jo Pamment is the Adult Education Director of the A+ English Language School for Okemos Public Schools. In addition to program administration, curriculum writing and assessment, she has taught all ESL levels in adult education, junior colleges and MSU. She has presented in various workshops in California and Michigan, and provided staff development workshops in pronunciation for adult education programs around the State. She Chairs the ESL Professional Advisory Committee. As a member of the Michigan Curriculum Task Force, she has helped write the ESL, and ABE Content Standards; and has served on the Michigan Transformation Task Force. She is the author of HAMMER. |
